At Wild Flush Kennel we will put your dog in a position to succeed!

Our training philosophy is teaching before training and consistent repetition of commands and training practices. These building blocks can be used to give you an outstanding hunting companion or take your dog through to the Master Hunter level. As an avid upland hunter, AKC Master Title handler and an AKC Hunt Test Judge we know what your expectations are and what is expected from your dog.

We will closely evaluate each dog for the first two weeks before we can assure results. We do return dogs for reasons that promote the best interests of the owner and avoid hopes for positive results.

Knowing that the Output of the dog is determined by the Input of the training, we strive to give every dog in our kennel our utmost attention during his or her training.

With this in mind we offer designed training programs or can tailor one to fit you and your dog’s needs.

Training Levels Available

Started Dog

Beginning at six months of age or older with the Basic Commands

• Heel
• Sit
• Basic Whoa
• Kennel

In addition, Collar Conditioning, Proper Introduction to the Gun, Proper Introduction to Birds and Enhance Natural Pointing Ability.

Hunting Companion

This level of training will give you a solid hunting dog you will be proud to take to the field.

• Basic Obedience
• Steady through the Shot
• Advanced Whoa
• Honor
• Trained Retrieve

Finished Dog

With this level of training you will have a dog that is at the AKC Master Hunter Level.

• Enhanced Obedience
• Enhanced Obedience
• Advanced Whoa
• Steady through Wing, Shot and Fall
• Honor through Wing, Shot and Fall
• Whoa Broke

Training times will vary, as every dog is different. Variations are age, trainability and maturity level of the dog.

Along with training we also handle a limited number of dogs in AKC Hunt Tests or NAVHDA Events for owners.
